About

I'm Kevin Vadala — a software tinkerer, gamer, and tech geek based in New England. I've been building things with computers for as long as I can remember, and lately I've been really into vibe coding — using AI to go from an idea to working software fast.

My background is a mix of freelance tech writing, small automation projects, and independent research. I've built internal tools for small organizations and spent a lot of time writing about technology. These days most of my energy goes into building with AI and reviewing the tools I actually use.

Interests

Networking and infrastructure — VPNs, mesh networks, DNS, WireGuard, the whole stack. I find the plumbing of the internet fascinating. Developer tools and what makes them actually pleasant to use. AI as a way to build things, not just chat. Video games — mostly strategy, survival, and anything with good systems design. Gaming is where I first got into computers.

This site

This is my personal site — a place to write, share what I'm working on, and be findable. I've done freelance writing under this name and others over the years, so there are old bylines of mine floating around various sites.

The blog has longer thoughts. Feel free to reach out by email if you want to talk shop.
